LWMS Emanuel Chapter
What is LWMS? Lutheran Women's Missionary Society is made up of ladies who have a heart for missions. Any lady of the congregation is a member, and more active members in our group would be a real blessings. One of the most basic and at the same time most important functions of the group is to pray for our missionaries and their families.

If you have a heart for missions, please join us at our monthly meetings which are scheduled for the third Monday of the month at 1:00 P.M. September through May in the Bible Study classroom. Here new information is shared. We learn more about a particular mission field and how we can help.

Children can Help Build Churches While They Save

CEF = CHURCH EXTENSION FUND

While your child saves his money, the Church Extension Fund can lend their money to mission churches to build a church like those shown above. Your child may buy Church Extension Fund stamps every Tuesday. They will be sold before school in the hall outside Miss Schmidt’s room. The stamps cost $.25 each. Put them into a booklet, which is provided the first time stamps are purchased or as needed.

The booklet when full contains $18.75 worth of stamps. Send the booklet to WELS Church Extension Fund. Applications and envelopes are also available when buying stamps or from Mrs. Wheeler. An application is your identification to start or add to your account.

A full booklet will start One Year Saving Certificate that renews automatically.  The interest will start when you send in your first booklet.

Money collected is used to build Mission Churches.

Spring Circuit Rally
   The Spring Mission Rally was held at Readfield, April 24th.  Twelve Emanuel women and Pastor Hennig were among the 120 people attending.
   The emphasis of the day was "The Promise is for All".  Pastor James Skorzewski, Pastor Ski, from The Core in Appleton was the main speaker.  The Core is located at 215 E. Washington St. downtown Appleton.  It is the second campus of St. Peter, Freedom.  The Core is reaching out to the 19-35 age group.  This is the age group WELS is losing the fastest.  Pastor Ski's greatest fear is for all the people out there who don't know their Savior and will go to hell when they die.
   We were all encouraged to show unconditional love - God's love - to the people around us.
   Please join us in October at immanuel, Greenville, for our Fall Rally.
