What is SCRIP?
SCRIP means "substitute money." Emanuel purchases gift cards & certificates to sell to Emanuel supporters to generate extra income for tuition assistance and other school programs. Use SCRIP instead of money to cut tuition costs and support school programs without spending a penny more than you normally would!
Why SCRIP?
FIFTY percent of the proceeds from your purchases is credited to a student of your choice or to Emanuel Lutheran Church and School.
-
tuition credit may be applied to the account of a future Emanuel student.
-
other people can use the program to benefit your student! Ask relatives & friends to help you by using SCRIP
-
remaining income supports the Emanuel Student Financial Assistance Fund, the School Fee Fund or a special project determined by the Coordinating Council.
How do I purchase SCRIP?
Most come to the office at Emanuel. Scrip can be ordered by fax, or phoning in your order. Parents can have their student serve as a courier. Orders can be brought to the office before school any day and picked up after school.
All purchases must be paid for when ordering or picking up SCRIP. You may pay with cash or check. Make checks payable to Emanuel. Students need to sign for orders they pick up.
If SCRIP must be ordered, allow 7 - 10 days to receive your order. If you can't wait for an order, please note that you only wish to purchase in-stock Scrip or list what would be an acceptable substitute. Additional order forms are available in the school office or online.
Note on how SCRIP Tuition Credits are applied:
-
Tuition credit accumulates from purchases made between May 1 and April 30 each year.
-
Current K-7 students will have the credit applied to their next year's tuition.
-
Current 8th grade families may transfer their credit to another student or to FVLHS. If not, it is automatically credited to the above mentioned funds.
-
For future students, the credit accumulates and is applied to the student's account their first year at ELS. The SCRIP year runs from May 1-April 30. Credits are applied to tuition statements before they are mailed in June.
