About Our School

Emanuel Lutheran School exists to gather, educate and nurture families in Christ. Leading children closer to Jesus their Savior is the focus as the school activities take place. We consider parents to be the primary and most influential educators of their children and adolescents. The programs of the school are intended to provide support and assistance to the school families, with a special emphasis on equipping parents for spiritual leadership in the home - - a leadership that parallels the Christ-centered instruction and atmosphere provided in the school itself.

Emanuel Lutheran School:

•    Includes full-time Christ-centered education for preschool through grade 8.
•    Provides opportunities for use and development of God-given abilities as well as for pursuing special interests in all areas: spiritual, academic, music (choral and instrumental including band, piano & folk guitar), technology and athletics.
•    Involves 200 students in eleven K-8 homerooms with low student-to-teacher ratio (averages below 18:1 in grades K-4).
•    Is served by 10 full-time teachers, 7 part-time teachers, a technology coordinator, a special needs teacher, 3 part-time aides, a principal, and support staff.
•    Serves its students with teachers who are qualified, dedicated, caring and certified by the 4th largest non-public school system in the United States --Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod.
•    Offers opportunities for its students to continue a Christ-centered education at Fox Valley Lutheran High School (FVL) in Appleton, WI while others may attend New London Public High School.
•    Is one of the 22 FVL Schools in the Fox River Valley. See their website, www.fvlschools.org

Emanuel Lutheran School was accredited by Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran School Accreditation (WELSSA) in 2005. As such, an extensive school self-study was conducted during 2004-05 which resulted in a comprehensive view of the school’s strengths and recommendations for areas needing improvement. 217 standards were reviewed by 11 self-study subcommittees composed of approximately 65 different, non-staff individuals. A WELSSA Site Visit Team affirmed the excellent work of the self-study subcommittees. The accreditation process involves a 7-Year Plan to address the self-study recommendations. Detailed reports are available upon request.
