Times change, don’t they. Some of us are slow to change. (I’m talking about me, here.) In fact, I didn’t even have a cell phone until a year ago. I figured I’m always at school or at home so people can always get a hold of me; but the kids are growing up, I’m off to their sporting events and activities, and texting is actually really helpful….so, I finally got a phone. Now, I can’t believe it, but I’m writing a blog. Times change, don’t they.
But some things, thankfully, don’t change -- the values we want to pass on to our children; the promises we have from our Savior; the priorities God calls us to have. (But seek His kingdom, and these things will be given to you as well.)
As much as I might be wary about change, I know that change can often be good. (I’m writing a blog, am I not?) But what a joy to know that the truly important things, the things I really need to know, and the things that are a matter of life and death, these things don’t change. I can bank on it; I can count on it; I can trust it. God’s promises don’t let us down and that won’t change.
