Combating Social Media at Home

Combating Social Media at Home
Facebook, Snapchat, Twitter, Google Plus -- how is a parent supposed to keep up with all the new technologies that tempt their children? Can I keep my kids safe? What kind of guidelines should I set? Is is smart for my child to have a Smart phone? On April 1st, the FVL Schools’ Community Parents Night presentation "Combating Social Media at Home" will answer those questions and more. Our panel will include local counselor Brandon Hayes on the psychological aspects of these issues, FVL teachers Alan and Nathan Nolte on the technology aspects, and Appleton Police School Liaison Officer Katie Bohren on the legal aspects of this far-reaching topic. The presentation will run from 7:00-8:30 p.m. in the Fox Valley Lutheran High School auditorium. Time is planned for questions from the audience. FVLHS is located at 5300 N. Meade Street, Appleton. FVL Schools thanks our promotion partners Thrivent Financial and WEMI radio for helping make this event possible.
