Men of the Outdoors

The Men of the Outdoors is a group tailored for men who are enthusiastic about outdoor activities. It is not an organization or club, and there are no regular meetings or membership fees. Instead, we organize outdoor events and seek to spread the Good News of the Gospel. Our mission and vision statements serve as our guiding principles.
Our Aim
We want to bring together men who share a love for the outdoors through hosting outdoor-related events, while also sharing the Word of God and demonstrating Christian love to everyone. By participating in outdoor activities, men have the opportunity to bond over shared interests and share their experiences. Additionally, hearing the Word of God at these events helps men to grow spiritually. We strive to create an environment that fosters fellowship, idea-sharing, and open conversation about our outdoor pursuits.

MOTO Bible Studies

Do you have a passion for the outdoors? Join us for our fall Bible study, continuing our series on God’s design for biblical manhood. This four-week class starts on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at 7:15 PM in our Community Room.
In this series, we’ll explore the two worlds God established for humanity to live in: the church and civil government. After each class, there will be time to share your latest outdoor adventures.
Men of the Outdoors hosts Bible studies periodically on our campus and elsewhere. Click the button for past Bible study materials.
2025 Boundary Waters Adventure
Our 2025 Boundary Waters Adventure began with a prayer for safe travels before we loaded up and started the eight-hour drive to Clearwater Outfitters. After spending the night in a bunkhouse and enjoying a hearty breakfast, we secured our permits and were on our way. It was a two-hour canoe trip and a short portage before we arrived at our campsite. Our spot was one of the best on the lake, with a spectacular view and a sandy beach that made it easy to launch our canoes. The weather was perfect the entire week.
We started each day with a devotion, staying true to our mission. The fishing was a bit inconsistent, but we caught plenty of smallmouth bass. Walleye fishing was slow, but we were still able to enjoy fresh walleye several nights. We also targeted lake trout and had some great success, reeling in several large fish ranging from 24 to 29 inches. By the end of our trip, we had fished three different lakes.
As the week came to an end, it was time to pack up and head home. The paddle back to our entry point was an incredible experience. With calm waters and beautiful scenery, it was impossible not to appreciate the majesty of God's creation.
Breakfast Bible Chat
The Men of the Outdoors invites you to our quarterly Sportsman’s Breakfast Chat held at Marly’s Restaurant. Whether the warmer temperatures have you thinking spring or whether you're still busy ice fishing, please join us. You're welcome to share your hunting and fishing stories or anything else you'd like to chat about. Bring your pictures and share them with the group.
