Bill Scharf
Technology Director
Bill Scharf, a longtime Wisconsin resident, joined the Emanuel team in 2021. He found his calling in education after earning his bachelor's degree from Dr. Martin Luther College and his master's degree from UW-La Crosse. Before coming to Emanuel, he served at WELS schools and congregations throughout the Midwest, bringing his passion for teaching and technology to classrooms in Wisconsin, Illinois, and Minnesota.
From his early days of tinkering with Apple IIe computers at Dr. Martin Luther College, Bill has always been fascinated by the power of technology to connect people and enhance both learning and ministry. He has spent decades sharing his knowledge and enthusiasm with students of all ages, helping them explore the digital world and use it to serve God and others. Bill also enjoys spending time with his family, sharing his love of nature through photography, and finding new ways to integrate technology into sharing God's word.
A firm believer in the power of faith and trust, Bill lives by the words of Proverbs 3:5: "Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding".
