Elisabeth Wagner
FVL Schools Band Program Director
Elisabeth Wagner joined the team in 2020. She is a 1996 graduate of Fox Valley Lutheran and continued her education at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music, where she earned a bachelor's of music degree in instrumental music education in 2000. The following year, she received synod certification from Martin Luther College.
From 2002 to 2004, Mrs. Wagner taught high school and grade school band and music classes at Arizona Lutheran Academy. After she married her husband, Tim, in 2004, they moved to the Milwaukee area while he finished his senior year at Wisconsin Lutheran Seminary. During that time, she taught grade school band at Wisconsin Lutheran High School. The Wagner family, which includes five children currently ages 10-20, has since lived in various areas of the country. While raising her family, she taught private lessons whenever possible, in addition to subbing and teaching part-time. The family now resides in Appleton, where her husband serves as a pastor at Riverview Lutheran Church.
Elisabeth's primary instrument is the French horn. In her free time, she also enjoys baking, reading, grilling, drinking coffee, and a bit of gardening. A special Bible passage for her is Isaiah 43:1-3, which says, "Do not fear, for I have redeemed you; I have summoned you by name; you are mine. When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; and when you pass through the rivers, they will not sweep over you. When you walk through the fire, you will not be burned; the flames will not set you ablaze, the Holy One of Israel, your Savior."
