Darren Vogt

Assistant Principal | Eighth Grade Homeroom Teacher

Darren Vogt joined the Emanuel team this past summer, 2025, bringing a wealth of experience in WELS education. He grew up in Hartland, Wisconsin, and has two degrees from Martin Luther College in New Ulm, MN: a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education (2011) and a Master of Science Degree in Curriculum & Instruction (2018).

Prior to coming to Emanuel, Mr. Vogt served in various roles, including 5th-6th Grade Teacher at East Fork Lutheran School in Whiteriver, AZ (2012–2019), and at St. Mark's Lutheran School in Citrus Heights, CA, as both 7th-8th Grade Teacher & Athletic Director (2019–2020) and later as Principal & 7th-8th Grade Teacher (2020–2025).

Darren is married to Ruth Vogt, and they have two children, Magnolia and Ezekiel. In his free time, he enjoys playing a lot of golf, spending quality time with his family, building LEGO, and faithfully watching his favorite Wisconsin sports teams: the Bucks, Brewers, Packers, and Badgers. His guiding principle comes from Jeremiah 29:11 (EHV): "For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to give you peace, not disaster, plans to give you hope and a future.”
